The Future Is Here

As City Planners and members of academia meet to discuss how our future homes and cities might be built 15 -20 years in the future, we are building them today.  Positive Energy Homes, homes that not only supply all of their own utilities but also generate enough energy to help support the system or in our case power the owner’s vehicle.

In December 2010 we began construction of a Positive Energy Home for Larry and Debbie Fulton.  This home uses rainwater harvesting for 100% of its domestic water needs.  An on-site aerobic septic system treats all waste water that is then used in the backyard sprinklers.  It is through an increased PV Solar Array that they will power their new Ford Focus (EV).  So all of the utility needs will be generated from the home, plus their home will power their transportation.  With the permission of the owners, we will are creating an on-going video to explain this home’s construction in the hope that this might “ “foam the runway” so to speak for all of the “experts” and to show that the future is now.
